DUALITY is a work about the meeting between two forces within us.

In this painting, I wanted to portray the balance between light and darkness, sky and water, what exists above and what is reflected below. A quiet horizon divides the landscape and creates a meeting point between the luminous sky and the deeper, more grounded field beneath the surface.

The two white points of light stand in relation to one another, like two parts of the same presence. One above, one below. As if the light exists both in the visible and in the hidden, in what we show outwardly and in what we carry within. Between them, a vertical stream of light moves through the painting, like an inner passage where the upper and the lower are allowed to meet.

To me, DUALITY carries the feeling that opposites do not need to be in conflict with each other. Light and darkness, stillness and movement, the spiritual and the physical can exist together. One does not make the other less. Instead, they help us understand the whole.

The work reminds me that balance is not about choosing one part of ourselves and leaving another behind, but about allowing several sides to exist. To meet both the light and the depth with presence. To understand that what is reflected back to us often reveals something important about our own inner world.

DUALITY invites the viewer into a meditative space where two forces are allowed to meet without struggle. A place where the light and the depth hold one another. Where reflection becomes a way inward. Where we are invited to move closer to a feeling of wholeness, stillness and inner balance.
