This painting was created for a newly built home on Kvarnholmen, a peninsula surrounded by the Stockholm archipelago and the waters leading into the city. The collectors wished for an artwork that would reflect the natural landscape around them while bringing both vibrant energy and a sense of harmony into their home.

From their living room they have a beautiful view over the sea and mountains. For the inner wall of the space, they wanted a painting that could carry the feeling of the surrounding nature into the home itself, so that even when looking inward they would still experience the presence of the landscape and the calm of the water.
