COMPASSION is an intuitive abstract landscape painting about meeting life with an open heart.

For me, the work carries the feeling of compassion as a place within us. An inner horizon where we can see life with softness, understanding and trust. Not by shutting out what is difficult, but by holding everything with more presence, warmth and perspective.

At the center of the painting, there is a light that carries several meanings. It feels like a place within the heart, a room where life is allowed to rest, reflect and be understood. I also experience the light as both a sunset and a full moon rising toward the sky. As if day and night meet in the same breath. The warmth of the sun and the presence of the moon flow together, creating a space between the earthly and the cosmic, between what we feel and what we cannot yet fully understand.

The painting moves through several perspectives of nature at once. It can be experienced as an outer landscape with sky, water, greenery, distant mountains and earthy fields, but also as an inner landscape where memory, emotion and soulful presence meet. The deep blue sky and scattered points of light open the work toward a larger cosmic perspective, where nature is not separate from the universe but part of the same living whole.

The surrounding greenery grounds the work in the earth, while the sky, water and horizon open up space for reflection and vastness. There is a feeling of being able to stand steadily in the world while seeing life from a wider perspective. As if compassion helps us lift our gaze without losing contact with the ground beneath us.

COMPASSION invites the viewer to meet life with softness, trust and understanding. A reminder that compassion does not make us weaker. It makes us wider, deeper and more rooted in the heart. It allows us to see more layers of life at once and hold them with greater love.
