Malin Sahlén (b. 1992) is a Swedish abstract artist based on Kvarnholmen in Stockholm. Each painting grows from feeling and intuition, as she works with oil on canvas and slowly builds every artwork up through layers of colour, light, movement, and depth.
Her art is rooted in presence and inspired by nature, geometry, and the universal energies that pulse through all living things. Colour and form become a language of emotional and spiritual resonance – a connection between stillness and transformation.
At the core of her practice lies the meeting point between the earthly and the ethereal – where grounded silence merges with radiant energy, inviting the viewer into experiences of presence.
She gives every painting the time it needs, never creating on a fixed schedule. The process is guided by intuition, and it is through this dialogue that she knows when a work has reached its completion. Each layer carries its own experience, and through this unfolding the paintings emerge as unique, individual expressions – alive with their own rhythm, story, and essence.
